Collodi is a village in Tuscany that has become famous thanks to “The Adventures of Pinocchio”, the most famous and printed non-religious book of all times. Its writer was Carlo Lorenzini, who chose the pen name of “Collodi”. His mother was born and raised there, and Carlo spent there most of his childhood.

Collodi Castello, the ancient quarter - behind Villa Garzoni - has kept its medieval aspect of fortified town that can be visited only on foot. The baroque style majestic Garzoni Garden is one of the most beautiful and better preserved in all Europe.
